1990 GSX engine swap?

what would be better??? i know that upgrading to a turbo version would also require a new tranny and transfer case.... but ar ethose the only things i really need to worry about?? and im having trouble deciding between the "cyclone" 4G63 and an evoIII 4G63... i know the major difference is that the evo engine has the bigger 16g turbo... any thoughts, hints, advice???

Re: 1990 GSX engine swap?

ask peanotation at www.mitsutalk.com
hes a moderator there.
he's doing a 4g63t swap as we speak, and he can guide u in the right direction.
and are u trying to do the swap for the awd? or turbo? cause u dont need a gsx engine swap for that...
the evo engines also have stronger internals.
just ask peanotation^^

cyclone

well in actuallity my lifters are going, as well as my idle speed controller, water pump, p/s pump, te engine is just getting tired and needs replaced, the reason for the question was i heard that when upgrading to a turbo motor you should upgrade to the beefier turbo spec tranny and in turn the turbo spec transfer case as it differs from the n/t.... anyways.

Some inquiry about an engine... a 1G JDM 4G63 with a cyclone header, no turbo, would it be the n/t version evo motor??? and if so are the differences the same between a turbo evo and non turbo evo as, say a G-GSX and a G-VR4????
