Megane II user review

Hi Folks

I own a 2003 Renault Maegane II Dynamique 1.4 3Dr Sporthatch. I've been looking over this forum and decided to add my comments.

My sunroof also squeeks when it's cool outside (5 to 10 DegC).

The drivers door also squeeks/rattles occasionally (not weather dependant).

The stereo LCD has a few icon sections illuminated incorrectly in cooler weather (5 to 10DegC)

Changing from first to second gear is attrocious, really annoying when pulling away from lights.

I bought the car at the East Dereham dealership in Norfolk, UK, pretty friendly people.

I've driven a Rover 45 1.4i and it has better acceleration.

Otherwise I'm pleased with the car, for now, the roadholding is good, got 115MPh out of it (on my own on a quiet motorway early on a Sunday morning), probably wouldn't want to push it more than that, otherwise I might see some metal bits fly up through the bonnet!

Next car will probably not be a Ranault, thinking along the lines of an Audi A4 or an Alfa GT.
