Royal Purple and lifter tap

Hey guys, about a week ago I changed my oil with Royal Purple 10w-30(It's startin' to warm up a little bit). Anyway, ever since the change, I can no longer turn off the music and just listen to the sweet sound of my dsm cause the lifter tap annoys the hell out of me. I constantly have to keep the music on, so I don't have the hear it. Before I switched over to the Royal Purple, I used Castrol Syntec full synthetic w/ a whole bottle of lucas oil stabilizer(for about a year). So I don't know what to do, because a lot people say that I shouldn't use lucas cause it's too thick for my oil pump, and that Royal Purple's the best stuff you can get. But shouldn't RP be lubricating my lifters better????? What do you guys think? Learn to cope, or switch back?

P.S. I know the lucas stuff is known to kill the lifter tap, but I was told if I'm going to spend the money to run RP ($6 per quart), it would be ridiculous to run lucas oil stabilizer with it. Let me know what you guys think...

Go to the parts store and buy some sea-foam, it comes in a can and follow the directions. The lifter tap is usually because of inadequate oil flow, so they galleys and little jets may be getting clogged, the car is 15 yrs old.

So are you saying keep the royal purple and just use that stuff? My lifters don't tap w/ castrol and lucas. Also, should i feed it through a vaccum line for better results? And which line?

buy some and read the directions. You can put it in your gas, just pour it in your oil, or through a vac line...almost any vac line.
