Question For all you Ebay watchers! New Mclaren stuff worth a view?????

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...961322365&rd=1

bidding is already steep on this Green 1/12 F1, i shan't be bidding on it

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...961305733&rd=1

i dont collect 1/43's, but again i think this LARK f1GTR is heavily overpriced

I was wondering, how much would people give me for the following 1/12's if i were ever to sell them

F50 red
F50 yellow
F40 red
F40 yellow
GULF GT40 #6
Mclaren F1 blue
Tamiya Enzo

either as a bulk 7 item buy or seperately?

The Lark is way overpriced... especially since I only paid $49.00 for mine.

The reason the LARK GTR commands such a high price is apparently due to its popularity in Japan. I think that price is still a bit high, but someone will probably buy it.

If anyone is looking for a deal, this was recently listed and has a very low BIN price of £5.00 - I have seen people pay 4 times that price:

I have no affiliation to that auction though, so buyer beware.

I'm inclined to believe the shorttails command more also due to the fact that those were the successful ones of the two versions having won a JGTC championship in 1996.

#60 Ralph Schumacher/Naoki Hattori
#61 David Brabham/John Nielson

All famous names with the younger Hattori proving his worth in this series.

The long tails had rather dismall results in the JGTC in 99, 00, 01. a lot of DNFs and few top 5 finishes.

That sounds a little too good to be true, but...stranger things happens every day!
Embrace yourself! I was once GIVEN a silver 1:12 by a german seller who was so satisfied with the business we did! GIVEN for FREE!!!

I had to ask like 100 mill. times to know if he was kidding or not!
The silver came without a box, but was in perfect condition otherwise.

I have a visitor's badge to the McLaren factory from the time I went there on behalf of my boss...what do you guys reckon it's value is?

I wanted to test the water here first before putting it up on Ebay, as I think this place will give me a more accurate idea of what it is truly worth.

I say keep it yourself for nostalgic reasons...I doubt it's worth that much...

That is...unless you could use it to sneak into the McLaren factory multiple times

Hehehe, nah, I have a standing invite to visit, but I am not going back unless I am ready to buy one for myself!

I have the badge under the glass on my desk, along with the entrance badge to the Petronas towers in Malaysia. You are supposed to give that one back, but I said I lost it I also keep any cool tickets, such as race events or concerts or public transport stuff from other countries--I have a cool subway map from Tokyo and Singapore bus routes.

Even considering the freak that I am, I don't think I'd have much interest in the badge. There may be some Formula One McLaren Fans that would want to get on it though, so list it and see what you can get.

Thorst:

Considering I was collecting this stuff when they were first released - I paid the going rate. You have to remember I was a McLaren fan before McLarens were being raced and I wanted to have anything and everything assoicated with the car. As soon as the Larks were released and before the market exploded, I picked up a couple short tails and a couple long tail Larks from a local diecast dealer. I remember him having at least 6 of each cars sitting on shelves and hardly anyone was buying them.

In fact one of my Larks still has a $44.95 sticker on it. He has since sold his remaining inventory at huge profits on ebay.

The free one? Now that's a stanger one. But I'm sure it was certainly deserving.

This sudden gravity toward the McLarens is at times humourous. I never though that my particular obsession with collecting more than one diecast copy of certain McLarens would be an actual investment.

Regards

For the price it is at now with 9 minutes to go, you could buy a real owners manual - and I have seen one on Ebay 3 times. I've never seen this apparent softbound copy before either. I'm sure it's real, but I wonder why they would make one like that? I wanted to add it to my collection, but not at the price the seller is looking for.

This comment in the ad: "as this copy was made for reference purposes only." leads me to believe this may be a printers proof, or something like that.

He did let the F1 GT brochure he was offering go for a fairly reasonable price. I just picked up one of them myself, and paid a little less than that.

What's even more amazing is the price the nose badge sold for - GBP 428.88 :22yikes: :22yikes: :22yikes:

Clickable

I have a rear badge - essentially the same thing - and I purchased it for about 1/4 the price that this one sold for, actually it was even less than that I think. I guess I lucked out, or maybe I should be listing mine in hopes of making a fat profit?
