got a couple kills

well the first won was on the highway i was sitting at a light waiting to turn on the highway actually and i was sitting behind a red (00?) mustang GT and i could see the dude eyeballing me in his rearview and i knew he couldn't see me. anyway the light turned green and we turned on the highway and he nailed it and so i did i and i just flew up on his ass and then came on around him and put it in third and pulled away..... , the dude had his top down and i could see he was mad as hell.

the second was later on the same night on the same highway but going the other direction, i saw a white lt1 z28 camaro like mine a few cars up in the other lane. so i worked my way up to him and got up behind him and he floored it. well i chilled until we got out of town a little and then rode up beside him and dropped it down and screamed at him through the tailpipes and shit blah blah blah inciting him to race. i saw 2 gauges in the pillar on the drivers side so i was like im fixing to get smoked by this dude. we raced about 6 or 8 times down the highway from like 20 mph up to around 70 (it was only a 55 mph speed limit). but the dude didn't smoke me, in fact i pulled on him a couple of the times. after i smoked him the last time i flagged him down to go to this gas station to ask him if he wanted to go to my little secret dragstip to race from a stop. he said no, (he was scared), he also had a kid in the back.. ..i was like wtf? but anyway he asked me what i had i just said nothin much you know intake and exhaust, he was like "huh", he told me he had a BFI or KFI or something FI supercharger pushing 6 psi, along with some other stuff i didn't recognize i guess that had to do with the SC. i could definately hear the thing winding up when we were racing. i was like damn, wtf? how'd i smoke you and you have a supercharger. dude told me he worked at the speed shop a mile up the road and he was putting some more stuff on there next week or something and he wants to go again. he had some big nasty wide ass tires they kinda looked like some street slicks or something, definately were racing tires one way or the other. anyway, two in one day. thats rare for me nowadays nobody wants to race.

That's pretty rad, especially for one night. I'm lucky to get 2 races in 3 months...SUCKS. Good kills .....

see thats why when every guy with a v6 comes in here asking about supercharging their car i tell them its not worth the money. wtf does 6 psi do for u? at least he can tune it later and up the boost, but v6's are limited depending on year with tunes so s/c wont do no good without the custom tune. most guys i know with blowers run at least 16 or higher psi. im not downing your car lt1 but if all u have is a lid and some exaust and u smoked this guys s/c ed maro that just makes my point shine brighter for how much of a wast of money running low psi is.

who are you referring to about the v6 with a supercharger?

and what lid are you talking about, there is no lid on an lt1, thats ls1.

and i have a little bit more that a intake and exhaust but nothing huge.

did u pop the hood on that guys car? because he may not have actually had one... there are some various intake setups that will give a little of a whistle noise... i'm not callin bs on u, i'm callin bs on the dude that told u he had one... 6psi on a v8 is a huge amount, alot of people think that eveything has to do w/ how many psi, but really to get 6psi of pressure on a v8 takes A LOT more cfm than a 4 cylinder or w/e. 6psi of boost out of a procharger have seen almost 50% increase in horsepower on lt1's, quite frankly, if he really had one then he would have blow u apart. like i said i don't doubt that ur a good driver and that u got a fast car, its just the fact that a s/c lt1 would beat a n/a lt1 if neither had any internal work...

another possibility however is that he has the supercharger, but he has yet to tune the pcm, and w/out the pcm tuned to work w/ the larger intake amounts the pcm will react by retarding the timing drastically and you will not gain very much, in fact u may even lose horsepower because all of the engines tuning is so f-ed up...

i don't know i'm just not sure i believe the guy that said he had the s/c, but either way awesome kills dude

it may have been in need of a tune, i did notice when i was approaching him that he was blowing out a good bit of black stuff when he stomped it. he also told me that he had a top speed limiter still on there that stopped at 120, and since he had 3:73 gears it hit the t.s.l. at around 80 mph. we raced a good amount of times and i definately heard a supercharger
