Wires everywhere

I have a 1987 Nissan 200SX SE V6, when I got the car there wasn't a radio in it, there is just a mess of wires where the radio is supposed to be, there isn't even an electrical harness. I need help on figuring out what wire goes to what.

Re: Wires everywhere

I would say get a helms or a Haynes manual for your car. The one for mine has like 15 pages dedicated to wiring. It should be able to tell you which is which. You could also try using a volt meter set on the voltage meter to find the power wires (there will be 2 - one for constant power, one to tell the unit when the car is on), and the ohms setting to find the ground, and all the various speaker wires. It's gonna be pretty pain staking, and it would help alot to have someone to help you. It might be easier once you get the 2 powers and the ground to just run new speaker wires. Your choice.

Good luck!
