How to release stock radio....

Can ya tell me how to release the stock radio?

Will I need to install a din rack or will the kenwood slide right into the existing rack?

If I had a second set of speakers where would they hide them? I have one in each door. This is an 88 hatchback.

Thanks for the expected quick response, You guys are always great! Alot more helpful then those pompous fux in the porsche forum....hehe!

Re: How to release stock radio....

to release the stock radio you need to take off the lower part of your center dash console...there should be 4 screws, one on each side sorta in the middle of the sides and one on each side at the tip top.....to get to the right one you need to open you glovebox compartment. then from what i remember sorta lay down and look under the back of the dash mounting frame and there should be i think 2 screws going into the bottom of the back of the headunit where it connects to the frame. and then you should be able to slide out your head unit. usually an aftermarket head unit will fit in perfectly into the stock radio slot so you most likely won't need a dash kit.
