Question wiper problem

I have a 1995 chevy suburban LS and sometimes the wipers will work ad sometimes they won't, they will quit without returning to the bottom of the windshield sometimes I've replaced the turn signal/cruise control/dimmer switch/wiper controls no help. I fiqure it's has to be the wiper motor, anyone seen this sort of problem before?

Re: wiper problem

Look back a few months in this Forum, this is a common problem and GM had a recall but the fix is easy, read the threads about wiper problems and you'll see. All you do is take out the circuit board from the wiper motor (on firewall driver side) and put a new one in or repair it by re-soldering the connections where it plugs in, be careful not to crack the board and I also cleaned off the contacts that rotate around with the motor. Good Luck!

You're welcome! Somehow, it was easier to resolder the 98 Tahoe's than the 86 Sub's. Instead of making it easier to repair, you'd think they'd just fix the bloody problem.
