Question I need help with this...

First let me apologize incase I am already asking a question that has already been posted. I don't have much time to read through all the FAQ's. So, I'm sorry if this question has already been answered.
I need help bleeding the brake lines on my 1998 Eclipse. It's the first time that I do this. I pretty much know the basics but if someone could walk me through that would be great!! Thanks to all who can help me out on this in advance.

Re: I need help with this...

first of all you need a 10 mm (i think that's the size) tubing wrench and a partner.

here's the process:

have you (or your partner) get in the car and push down the brake pedal and hold it down. have the other person go behind the tire that you're bleeding and you'll see what looks like a little nipple with a hole on the end of it. it's on the backside of the steering knuckle. loosen up that "nipple" just a little bit but watch out because fluid will squirt out of it. the brake pedal should fade away to the floor. make sure he still keeps it pressed down though. when the fluid is all done squirting out of it, tighten up the "nipple" again and then have your buddie (or you) release the brake pedal.

do that whole process over and over again until it's just solid fluid coming out and no air bubbles. if there is air in the lines the fluid will sort of squirt out in bubbles and shit.

also watch your brake fluid level in the resirvor as you will probably need to fill it up a few times.
