1998 S-10 Blazer Problems

Hi all, Has anyone ever had major problems with their 4.3 Blazers?? My 1998 S-10 Blaser problems are: Computer said Catalectic converter so I replaced the whole system with a nice catback. Still had problem. The computer then said o2 sensor so I replaced both front and back sensors still had problem. The computer then said coil so I replaced it truck ran good for 2 days then computer said map sensor so I replaced it. Truck ran good for another 2 days until it just stopped all together at a stop light in traffic. Computer was white hot to the touch smelled burning wires towards the computer. Truck is in my friends shop will let you know the out come. Reply back to me if you have had similar problems.
