5.7-liter HEMI vs. 4.7-liter H.O. Power Tech

I thought the 5.7-liter HEMI would be quicker than it is. Grand Cherokee's equipped with this engine are just as fast as the older model Cherokee's with the 4.7-liter H.O. Power Tech engine. Look at the stats though! - The new HEMI has 330-horsepower and 370-lb-ft of torque VS the 4.7's 265-horsepower and 310-lb-ft of torque (albeit on Premium grade fuel). That is a significant difference, yet the two accelerate from 0-60 in roughly the same amount of time (6.8 seconds). What gives? I was expecting the Grand Cherokee to do it in the low 6's. Can one of you Jeep guys explain this ? Thanks!
