starter bolt size

wondering what the torx (spelling?) size is for the bolts holding the starter. Need to get a socket for the heads but the local dealer here is useless. Thanks

Re: starter bolt size

depends on the year. my 90 YJ 2.5L, a 3/8 works lie a dream, no damage to either socket nor bolt, and no problems.
