P1537

I have a 98 windstar with 121,000 miles. I have codes P1537, P302 and P171 come on. I am not sure where to start with the P1537 IMCR stuck open bank 1 code. This is the first time this code has come up. I 've had issues with 302 and 171 codes before and i am still working on trying to fix them. I generally can fix my van and if possible i would like to fix P1537 too! My concern is not knowing where to start. My drivablitiy changes. I get an occational misfire with an intermitent power loss/surge. This seems to happen when the vehicle has been running a while. Please help. Thanks, VM

Hello VmVatBaby,

Just Plug that code into the "Search this Forum" box, and look around for WisWinds posts/pictures.

(Boy I gotta get one of those good digital cameras)

Re: P1537

Again you guys were amazing in helping me figure out my problem. Them damn plastic clips. Thats all that was causing my Runner Control to stick. The clip was broke therefore the arm was unattached. the link I was giving to fordy2k whatever link wanted $8.50 just for shipping . I went to my local Ford parts dealer and got a clip for $6.31 total! Thanks again folks!!
