Any suggestions?

I have a 98 tahoe and I am going to change the Spark plugs and wires. Any suggestions on what brand would be best. I am looking for something good, but not so expensive. Yes, I am being cheap. Would I also have to change the distributor cap or anything else that I should do when I change all of this? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Re: Any suggestions?

Search the site for spark plugs and tune ups. Most say only AC Delco plugs. Dave

Yes, I agree... Stick with AC Delco all the way. I have never had any problem with them, and I have 167K on my 98 Tahoe now. I recently replaced my plugs, cap, rotor, and wires. This was the 2nd change of plugs, but should have done all the other ignition parts a long time ago as it made a significant improvement.

If you want to save some money vs. going to the GM dealer, check around on the internet for the stuff. WWW.GMPartsdirect.com will save you money, or the AC Delco site can list the parts suppliers in your area that sell their stuff. If you ask, I have had success in getting the local dealer to match those prices as well. They certainly want your return business!
