Where do you get the $$$ for all of this stuff?

Pretty nice if I say so myself! I'm just a poor white trash boy who has a part-time job making jack sheit. So where do you guys get the money for this stuff? I once seen this ride come thru the gas station I work at all decked out with lambo doors! Do you people get loans for this kind of overhaul or hit the lotto or what? Where is this money at?! I'm thinking that I need to check into those government grant books, b/c they say you can get grants and not repay them and use the money for whatever....

we getthe money from saving up and working our asses off to get our paychecks haha.. well thats what i do... im used to saving my money... and once i have a nice amount saved up, i spend it all on something for my tib haha

yea i do the same thing as nisco i've been known to work14-16 hour days for like 3 weeks in a row sometimes through the night with no sleep

I just go stand on the corner (sometimes I get the guts to wander a few feet away from the corner), and hold up a sign and a cup. It is paying the bills and for my Tib.

Nah j/p man. I was askin myself the same question, "Where the hell do I get the money to do what I want on my car?!" I'm poor and white too, never have seen what real money is. I work 30+ hours a week at a pizza joint and just took on a second job working another 25+ hours at Autozone. All I can say is that there are three choices: set your sights and bust your ass to make it happen, learn something that will get you a better job (my ass has yet to do this lol), or marry yourself some rich old better who will be your sugar mama in return for romps in the bed.

Tell you what though. When you dont have the money do sling around like it aint shit, when you do come up with something (like my exhaust this week...YAY!), it will feel so much better.

*LMAO at this post* Yeah...I just wondered, I assumed most of us work our asses off and save up. I think I over heard one guy at the gas station where I work at say something about a loan...but damn...overhaul the engine, body, stereo, interior, whole nine yards....isn't that a bit much for a loan? That's why I mentioned a government grant...I see a lot of online ads or people getting grants sometimes.

that's why you restore the ride.... buy it for cheap.... blown engine.... drop another engine in it (buy the car for like 500 bux) and for 4k you've got one HELLUVA nice ride (hint...foxbody possibility)

or wait till your girlfriend get's tired of her ride and upgrades and buy it off her for 3k....

i work 25 hours a week as a parts sales rep for sears making decent money... i save it up mostly, i'm gonna just drop the J30 project and save up for something bigger and better with more options

Dude! The wouldn't take my soul. Said something about it being tainted. I dunno.

As for the loan being too much, you can get Auto Loans provided you have collateral. That and fair to perfect credit (which is why I have not done so yet, lol.) If your car is paid off, try going in and talking to a rep at the bank you use. Put the title to your car up as collateral for the loan. Its worth a try.
