Monster Nissan..........

He He, just thought i'd show off this 1/12th Fairlady i purchased recently. I know most of you have seen this kit before (Hiroboy's) but since im so amazed at the sheer size of this thing i just wanted to share some pics.
I have no actual plans for this kit, it'll lye here (if i can find space for it ) & we'll see what happens in the future.
Mike

Re: Monster Nissan..........

Similarly to what Proosen said, how much is it gonna cost on paint, glue and the like to fin ish this brute? I'm only saying this cos I'm jealous!! I think building a car at that scale will be a VERY hard project. At least when the car is small (1/24) some mistakes can be hidden, with a 1/12 that ain't so easy to do. Good luck with it, hope you start building it soon and get a progress thread going!

Re: Monster Nissan..........

The problem with big models is: they have this "buy me"-factor at the shop, so you ignore the 1/15 section, and when you get home, you tear the box up and look "wow, that´s big" and then you realize that if you ever finish building it,it will take up the space of 3-5 models in 1/25...
I have the Airfix 1930 Bentley in 1/12 and the Monogram Big Deuce. Non finished, cause there is no place to have them. ( Out in the open, on a shelf. Are you nuts?? There are wifes and dust in this world you know!!)Anyway MIke United, nice catch! This is a detailingproject DeLuxe , uh? So start putting aside 1/5 of your paycheck for detailing parts right now !

I hear you my man! This is prob the main reason I wouldn't buy a 1/12. Dust & inquisitive fingers would ruin a potentially mortgage-busting kit. I remember seeing a display case for a 1/12 which was over £100!!!! Whereas one for a 1/24 is £15.

Think I'll stick to my 'wee' cars and admire everyone elses big builds!
