oxygen senser wire

I m having trouble finding the wire that goes into the oxygen senser on my 89 honda civic HB .there are 3 wires that i think could be it ones yellow. 2nd one is green with black and 3rd is black this one has another wire running through the inside and its white . ohyeah i ve already tried hooking up the yellow one since it seems to be hot when the egn. switch is on but that wire didnt help my num 1 code still co mes out after driving for about 10 min.

yes but the black one has two wires running through it it has a thin white wire almost like the wires that the cable company uses.

Specifically, it's the wire that's got the black coating over the white wire.

woldnt it be easyer to just run the ecu wire direct to the O2 senser? and if your saying its the black wire ,what do i do with the white wire ?

It's the white wire. The white wire has a black coating on it to protect it, being that it's one of the most important wires the ecu reads.

Dont let the o2 sensor wire short circuit to ground. The O2 sensor is a millivolt thermocouple. meaning it makes milivolts (pos (+)) when it is at various temperatures. If you let it shortcircuit to itself or to ground when installed you might as well go buy another one.

well I hooked it up to that white wire and it seems to have fixed my O2 problem , Thanks
