ok i know i should probably just get a manual on my car...but what fluids should i use when i change them and where to get them for a 98 Jetta wolfsburg...i briefly looked at a manual and noticed it seemed to want to say that i had to use VW specific fluids...???

Basically, everything but oil and washer fluid is best bought from the dealership. The transmission fluid, antifreeze, steering fluid, even brake fluid as fas as I know. All are specifically designed for what they need to do in VW engines and transmissions. It's definately a few extra dollars, but worth it.

i figured that much...too bad my power steering is leaking from the resivoir...the hoses wont make a good seal for some reason...
