04 cavi (eco) vs. 05 civic (i-vtec)

Just wondering who you guys think would win between the two. The civic is stock. The cavi has an intake and headers and was running 15.4 before the headers were istalled. So in a 1/4 mile drag, who would win?

I got my money on the 04 cavi. Even if the numbers dont add up I would still get down with the 04. I have my reasons.

Are you reffering to the '05 Honda Civic Si 2.0-liter 3-door hatchback? Even if the Cavi was stock and had a manual, it would keep up with the Civic (depending on driver experience). Although the Civic has 20 more horses under its belt, the cav has 150 lb-ft of torque @ 4000 (vs. the civic's 132 @ 5000). With the mods you mentioned, my $$$ would definetly go on the Cav hands down.

Best way to find out would be to line them up side-by-side and have a go.

Keep these things on the track. Too many horror stories from kids trying to street race.

Well make sure to be safe about it when you do it. And don't forget to come back tonight to tell us the results! Is the Civic you are up against bone stock?

Well the cavi won. 15.5 to 16.2. The civic had an intake, he put on the day before. I was actually surprised it wasn't a closer race. His engine is putting out more power. O well, Learning experience for us both i guess.
