M22 4 speed transmission

Ahhh I'm new here....so here goes. I have a 69 camero with a M22 Transmission. I cannot put the thing in reverse and gear 1,2,3 are rattling like hell. Is it my linkage or worse????? Any thoughts would help.

The old "rock crusher"...was known for its noise and difficulty to get into gear....an M23 would be a good replacement.

Not sure on that...do a google search for M23 trans for sale and see whatthe going rate is.
