Shift Kit

Well, I ordered a corvette servo. I was thinking of also getting a shift kit. What does everyone suggest as far as a shift kit, as far as the brand of shift kit? How hard are the kits to install? Do they come with directions?

If that's the only way to go, what talked you out of installing it?

Just wondering...

i went with a transgo, base kit comes with videao and directions, you might want to change the pinned servo's while your in there, i think there are three of them, and replace the seperator plate with a hardened one

here is links to two of the sevos
http://www.transmissionspecialty.com.../77987-01K.htm

I have a Transgo kit at home in an orange box that a transmission mechanic friend of mine gave me. Everything's new, but one of the plastic bags was robbed of the pressure valve. Wonder if I could just get that from the company?

You should be able to find most tranny parts at www.sonnax.com or www.4l60-e.com

Thanks for the links, but it looks like I must have a 4L80E in my HD, not a 4L60E like I ASSumed. There's no servo cover, and I just ordered a Vette servo. Oops.

Re: Shift Kit

Yup, transgo is the best way to go......This way you can alter the shift points......and it will make a big difference....just make sure to use only 1 or zero washers or esle your going to break your neck in two........

I have the B&M kit in my truck (4l60e). installed with tranny in the truck in about 2 hours. Easy.
