Does any body know what psi the cylinders are suppost to be on a 93 Lx-e 1.9.

compression is supposed to be 170 to 207 psi. Lowest reading cylinder must be no less than 75% of highest reading cylinder.

I knew about the 75% deal. But I just wanted to see what it was like when it came from factory.

I've got the 97 SPI 2.0 and compression for it is listed as at least 100 psi. I wonder why such a difference. I'm heard that the SPI is more amenable to turbocharging because of the lower compression ratio. Does anyone know more about this. 100psi. Shee!

the psi doent really have a lot to do with how well a car suits a trubo. Anything from 8:1 or 9.5:1 will suit a turbo fine.
A compression test just shows how well each piston is working and if there are any leeks.
