93 transmission prob no 1st gear no od help please

I'm having problems with a 93 jeep gc. The trans will not downshift and will not go into overdrive. You can manually downshift, but I only get 2nd and 3rd. When first started it will go in 1st but not again after coming to a stop. It tries to take off in third at lights and will only go down to second manually. the od light will not come on or off or engage. I checked for codes and only flashed a 55 for end of codes. I checked fuses all good. i'm thinking about bypassing the tcm relay to see if it's bad. Could it be an input out put sensor? od /tcc solenoid Any help is appreciated thanks

Sounds like bad shift solonoids. I'd go to a tranny shop and have it properly diagnosed

when you come to a stop, shift thru the ranges up to park and back to 1st gear and see if it will start out in first. If not, make sure your trans oil is at proper level. I have the very same problem and have not found an answer yet. Mine will work as it should on occasion, just depends at engine start what it wants to do. Let me know if you find a fix and i will do the same. Thanks, Rob

Fixed mine today with a TCM.
