2003 Accord: Brakes Grind and Squeak after 15k Miles???

I only have about 15k miles on my 2003 Accord. I've been noticing in the past month or two that the brakes squeak and/or grind either when it's cold or when initially starting to drive. Both seem to go away after a bit, though. Is this normal or should I have it looked at?

Have it looked at. (wow 15k on a 2003 --- you, or the previous owner(s) don't do much driving!)

No kiddin'. Rotors are probably rusting up between drives. That'll make 'em grind and squeal.

If I leave my car parked outside for more than a day or two, and it has rained or even just been humid, I can hear/feel it cleaning surface rust off the rotors the first few stops.

I drive it everyday. My job is only 3 minutes from my house, though. Anyway, I just took it in and they said the brakes were fine but one wheel had quite a buildup of brake-dust. They cleaned it and now it's fine. I drove my car to St. Louis this Xmas through the snow and basically rode my brakes for 10 hours straight. This is also around when the grinding sound started.

There is a bulliten about the front brakes on the accords. We have been replacing pads and cutting rotors for this. There is like a bad growling noise when stopping first thing but then it goes away as they heat up. Sound familiar?
