Exclamation Ahh Snaps!!!

Ok guys this time I don't know what is wrong with my car. Today as i was going to my car to start it all it did was made that sound where it wants to start but it won't. I don't know how to explain the sound but you've heard of it before, it's like the old cars you see where they start it and it doesn't start until you put alittle gas. The lights trun on so it can't be the battery, and I got a new starter. Ok this is what I had done to my car, a rebuilt transmission, and new starter, I am afraid it's from the oil leak because my ATX is leaking oil from somewhere near the starter. So I don't know what it is so now I'm thinking of getting my friends DOHC engine.
What should I do? Feel free to ask away any question even if it's stupid. I just need some help to figure out what is wrong.

Re: Ahh Snaps!!!

Um, just because your lights work, doesn't mean the battey has enough juice to start. When you turn the key so the lights and stuff come on, where is your battery gauge? If you don't have 11-14volts, then I'd try jumping it.

Also, have you checked your oil level...what makes you think it is low on oil? Because engine oil and tranny fluid are 2 different things.

Also how do you know it's leaking tranny fluid? How low is it...have you been refilling it? Where exactly is it leaking from?

The more info the better..

Also who did the starter swap, are you sure they did it correctly? Has the car been started successfully since the swap?

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
