Is there any way?

Does anyone know of any way to silence an exhaust? I have a straight down pipe on my blazer with no muffler or cat, and it is loud. Sometimes I don't want it to be so lound and I was wondering if there is anything to do that will make it quiet?

I love the sound but sometimes it needs to be quieter, ya know?

Re: Is there any way?

On a 2000 you CANNOT run without a cat unless you want your computer to totally mess up.

Install a high flow cat and a Ravin Z33 muffler and you will have all the sound you will need.

Actually BlazerLT I do not have a cat on my 2000 blazer and it is extremely possible. All you need to do is get a O2 sensor for the cat for about 50$ from Jegs and hook it into the harness. Then place it out of the way and your all set.

Wrong, you should have a cat on a 2000 Blazer.

The O2 sims can fix the problem, but for more power and fuel economy, it is best to have the O2 system intact.
