1989 mazda 323?
Greetings from singapore. I am currently driving a 1989 (i think so) model 323 with carbreuter engine, 1.6cc manual 5 speed.
Any ECU for carb engine? I think someone in the forum said that his 87 323 has got no power.. mine too. Did my own little cold air intake by pulling down a pipe lower and out of the engine area.. no effect. Put Pivot voltage stabilize, grounding, K&N air filter.. no much of a effect too. Fuel mileage is about 460KM/40litres. Hmm... Was thinking of putting Cold Air Intake (Those with a steel tube and cone filter?) But I heard that it will actually tax on your low end acceleration. Was also told that need to replace crank pulley and exhaust to compensate the loss. What do u guys think? These advise are from Singapore but they differ too much... thought perhaps overseas advise is better. |

Re: 1989 mazda 323?
I don't understand why they think the pulley will improve power. A bad exhaust could cause a power loss. To test disconnect the exhaust at the manifold and and test. If you have more power replace the muffler(s).

okay... well, was advised that a lighter pulley will be better. i dunnoe.. maybe my country's regulations are different, especially when it comes to exhaust.
