95 5.0 won't start

I have a 1995 mustang gt (5.0 liter) that i had just recently done work on. I had replaced the clutch, oil pan gasket, and A/C compressor clutch and when i took it back out on the road and was driving it around for a while i gave it WOT and halfway through second gear my car lurched and the engine died. I still had control of the tranny and clutch and the engine would turn over but not start. So after i got it back to the house i started troubleshooting it and immediately found out that there was no spark getting to the plugs. So i started at the control module, replaced it, then i replaced the coil, and i am still getting no spark. I am getting power from the coil but it gets lost after the distributor. My next guess would be to troubleshoot the distributor but i am unsure where to start. What should i do next? Will i have to take out the distributor and rebuild it or just replace it? Suggestions anyone?
