problem starting- out of ideas!!
I have a 1991 Z28 camaro with a 305 and I am having problems starting it. The problem started about a week ago and I have gotten no where. I replaced the starter and the ignition switch and still nothing. I am getting power, but the problem is that i can not even get the starter to engage. I can cross the starter and the car will run fine, but I have to cross the starter every time to start the car. I am all out of ideas from here. Please help!!!

Let's Start This Candle

You're on the right track ICE. You have a poor connection from the switch to the solenoid. Because you replaced the switch and starter, we know you have a broken connection between the two. Make sure your neutral safety switch is functioning. Make sure your starter enabling relay is functioning. . § §§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ REFUSE . . TO . . LOSE § §§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§

Could also be the Anti-Theft system (chip in your key) not letting it engage the starter. I had this problem and had to have the dealer fix it and give me a new key.
I have a 91 RS which had this issue several years ago. |
