GROUP DEAL on Top Speed Pro-1 Y-pipe: $100
John Lin, the owner of Top Speed Pro Performance Auto parts, has asked me to announce the following group buy on an outstanding y-pipe for the 1995-01 Maxima/Cefiro/I30. If I can find 25 buyers interested, he will lower the price of this pipe (which retails for $350) to $100.
First, let me state, for the record, that I am merely acting as a go-between for the sponsor, and will not be receiving anything from the sale of this item. Word-of-mouth advertising is the best way to gain new customers, and that is the main purpose of this promotion . I am so happy with my pipe that if I can help both buyer and seller here by spreading the word, I will have done my good deed for the day. I was the first to receive the pipe at this group discount and just had it installed on my 1998 I30 this past week. Let me tell you a little more about it. This product is a high-quality, flex Y-pipe manufactured by Top Speed Pro: http://www.topspeedauto.com/ProductC...&idproduct=462. It is made of solid stainless steel and mandrel-bent, and from what I have seen, its quality is right up there with other top brands. The y-pipe is a direct fit replacement for your stock pipe and bolts right onto your existing headers and catalytic converter. Now, pretty much all I knew about aftermarket y-pipes is what I have read here and on other forums. People install them for one main purpose, and that is to get more horsepower. I did not know what to expect when I installed this pipe. I had heard about the dreaded "bees in a can" sound from Stillen pipes. I had also heard that a good y-pipe should not increase the noise level of your car, and might also allow your engine to produce fewer RPMs than stock at the same dirving speeds. After the install, I was certainly not prepared for what it did for my car. First of all, it got rid of the "shift shock" that I had been xperiencing. The car shifts a whole lot crisper than before. Secondly, my actually runs quieter and smoother than before. It feels like a different car. All I can say is "Wow!" I do not have enough spare change to put my car on a dyno to give you the HP change, so I will leave that bit of analysis to another buyer. For me personally, trying to know the exact amount of horsepower gained is a little like losing weight. If I look younger, feel more active, and have clothes that fit better, I don't need to know how many pounds I've lost. Same way with this pipe. If the drivability results aren't enough to sell you on it, the price surely will. At $100, you're getting a pipe equivalent to others costing three or more times as much -- including this one at its retail price -- and will, no doubt, be the best $100 investment you will ever make for your car. So, please, let me know soon. I am starting to receive PMs from others interested in it at this price. When I have collected my 25 names, I will give them the contact information from the vendor to initiate the sale. |
