Chevelle Brake Conversion

I have a 66 396 Chevelle and want to convert the front brakes to disk. Can some one give me a list of the parts needed and the vehicles I can salvage the parts from that I need. Kits seem to be way to expensive.

Re: Chevelle Brake Conversion

Yes GM "A" bodies are the same.
Check this site http://www.p-s-t.com/gm/gmfdbkconv.html

Any factory "A" body disks from 68 to 72 is a straight swap. Nova spindals up to 74 will work.

I used 75 Nova brakes same as Camaro/Firebird but the control arms need to be off set and tie rod ends changed.
