I tested for voltage at the resistor pack plug and all pins had voltage. I disconnected the fan from it's connector under the dash. I had no voltage on this connection when the fan switch was on high speed. I reconnected the fan to the connector and unplugged the resistor connector. When I turned on the ignition switch the fan came on (speed switch on high) So maybe the resistor pack is bad? Maybe not. I turned off the key and reconnected the plug to the resistor pack and tried again. this time when I went to high speed, I had a working fan. I let it run for several minutes and kept switching fan speed settings. sometimes the fan would stop and start right back up again. When i moved two wire connectors just under the dash by the condensor box the fan would go off and on. So I have a connector problem in one of these multi wire plugs. The ground wire has already been spliced out of the larger connector because is it showed signs of melting. So I have to find which wire goes for the high speed. I am checking out my manual; II am using a Haynes manual, so if anyone what page in the wiring diagram this connections please let me know.
Thanks
