I have a 98 S-10 and the heater does not turn off. While driving the heat comes out the bottom vents and all knobs will be off. I had A/C before this problem and now nothing comes out but very hot air. It's really weird. I checked connections but didn't notice anything. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Is there a way to disconnect the heater from the vehicle. i really need to shut it off...

Re: 1998 S-10 Heat doesn't turn off....and A/C doesn't work no more
To disconect your heater you can just loop the heater hoses under the hood so they'll bypass the heater altogether. I've got this done on my Blazer at the moment, and I could e-mail you a photo of what I've done in the next couple of days if you want.
You probably have a vacuum leak going into the heater controls, or a pluged vacuum hose. I'll probably have the heater back together on my Blazer within a week so you'll want to let me know if you need the photo before then |

Yes I would like to see a picture if you could send it to my email. Thanks I'll check all the hoses.
