strange electrical anomally

well i found out i had electric mirrors,so when i went to adjust the passenger side i pressd down on the controller and my radio went out my interior lights gone rear defrost gone autolights gone abs warning light came on aas well as my brake light.my headlights come on w/ the switch but used to be on all the time.i took out the abs relay and started the car and the auto lights came on.reinstalled relay the lights didnt come on automatically but worked w/ the switch tried taking out the relay again to see if lights would work auto but they didnt this time. all fuses in instrument panel are good as well as under hood next to battery HELP!!!!!

I would first attempt to look at the switch itself, and that sometimes the mirror motor will bind, creating a load condition that trips the breaker.

What year, model do you have?

its a 98 grand am se what i have found out so far is that i have power to all my fuses except the abs fuse under the hood i changed the relay w/out any change.all of a sudden my auto lights work but it takes a few seconds to come on . heres a list of everything that doesnt work.auto locks to keep you in while car is running,door chimes,dome light,RADIO,and the abs light and brake light are on .any suggestions?

oh and the mirrors wish i would have never touched that darn switch!!!!

I still thinking the mirror switch has fried. Maybe others will chime in with better thoughts.
