So what would you say the best pair of workboots are. They gotta have steel toes too. Price isn't an issue either. I've had many different pairs and they're either uncomfortable or wear out way too soon. I live in the middle of nowhere so that could be my problem (stores only carry no-name brands or knockoffs). I'm looking for an allaround quality pair. Something that is comfortable but won't wear out in like 6 months. Thanks -Peace.

I actually have some workboots for summer from walmart that are pretty good, not steel toe ones but they've worked for whatever I need them for. I also have some Wolverine winter boots for hunting and they're comfy and warm but I'd just suggest you go to Cabelas website and look for some. Boots from there get expensive though.

Re: Work Boots
gotta have steel toes because that's what the boss says you gotta have at the shop I work at. I assume it got something to do with insurance. Either way I'd prefer to have steel toes if i drop something on my foot or something falls. -Peace

Re: Work Boots
Steel toes (and heels) are also good for kicking things that need to be kicked, like hammers across the shop, wheels off of cars, lift arms under cars, puppies and dumb people.

Re: Work Boots
Just be aware that a steel toe, if you drop something really really heavy on it, and I'm talking like, an engine, the steel can bend down if you get cheap boots and that will cut your toe clean off.

Re: Work Boots
Steel made a thread about this a long time ago in Fitness. I still stick by my boots - I've worn the same pair of Magnum Storm tactical boots for the last 2 years, I've worn them nearly all the time, everywhere from paintball, to school on a daily basis, and they've held up no problem, and they're comfortable as hell, and you can move easily in them - never had any problems with them - waterproof all the way to the top too. They were about 90$ when I bought them.

Re: Work Boots
I've never worn them and I'm really not sure if they make steel toe ones but my friend's all swear but Justin boots and Redwings. Personally I have same Cat. boots and they've lasted me 4 years of riding my dirt bike, work, school, and anything else I throw at them.

Re: Work Boots
I use my cats for forest firefighting right now, had them about 3 years, I'll probably get another pair sometime soon.

Re: Work Boots
I have to agree with Ridenour. I have a pair of magnum stealths that are steel toe and shank and are also waterproof. I have had this pair for about 4 years and they look just about as good as the day I got them. They are comfortable as hell too. They do last too, I know working as a medic I beat the hell out of them. I wear them when I am not at work too, the only time I wear shoes is when running/working out. I would say I wear mine an average of 16 hours a day 7 days a week. They are about $80 factory direct.

Re: Work Boots
Well, I'll be quite honest, my workboots are POS from Walmart, but I figured I'd still throw in a plug for Dr. Scholls insoles or whatever those things are called. I put those inserts in my boots and it made one hell of a difference. And even though my boots were only $20...surprisingly they have held up quite well.

Re: Work Boots
Road Mate Lite. Got them from Wal-Mart as I only use it maybe 9 hours per week during school. I figure they only need to last me for school and then get some good ones for my real job if necessary

I wear mack boots, good boots, but I would suggest you buy a new pair of shoelaces with them, every pair I have ever had I have had to replace the laces within a couple of months.
They have held up pretty well against all the things that has been dropped on my toes (including a car running over my foot)

I have always thought Redwing Boots were the best. I wear Bates right now and they hold up quite well. Everybody needs to remember that boots good for one person might not be good for somebody else. For example; if your reading advice from somebody who mentions "school" than chances are they are young and could wear anything with no problems.
