Gears in a v6
i have been debating about what gears to get in my mustang ... i have a 2000 v6 automatic... i was wondering if anyone could tell me shift points and top speed with a 3.73 , 3.90 and 4.10 gear... i do alot of 1/8th mile drag racing BUT its also a daily driver ...

Re: Gears in a v6
yes it comes stock with 2.73.s but i hear alot of ppl say to put 4.10's on a v6 auto...if i could find a way to calculate top speed and shift points that would be great

If I had to pick I'd get the 3.73s. The other ones seem a little to low for me.

personally id say for the auto go 4.10, it it were stick i would agree with everyone and say 3.73, but it being an auto, go 4.10, youll be much happier in the long run
