Two runs with THE Type R, and a run with A Type R

So I met up with my buddy with the ES300 "Type R", hung out for a while, showed of the CAI, and we had a couple runs. First from 75, three honks, walked away about two car lengths, he let off, and I pulled up to 100. Second race from 50, three honks, punched it, and this time I just totally walked away from him like he wasn't evern trying. He told me he had it floored, and I jus walked away like he was in reverse. We hang out bit more after that, and then we parted to go home.

I decide to take the scenic route home on the highway. End up seeing a yellow ITR up ahead. I've seen this one before, and I know its not just a badged GSR or somthing, its the real deal. I pull up and start pacing him at 60, and we kinda cruise like this for a while. He rolls down his window, and starts to slow down, so I do to. He asks if I wanna run, and I say sure. We slow to about 55-60, and he honks us down, and we both punch it. He gets a slight jump, but I pull it in, and by 85, his nose is at my front wheel. We hold this, take it up to about 110-115, with his nose at the front seem of my door, when he lets off and flashes his high beams, and I let off. He points to the exit, and I nod, so thumbs up from him, I return, and I head home.

All in all good night, kinda reclaimed Cassies honnor from the GTI death.

Cliff Notes: If you are really to damned lazy to read-
Beat an ES300 with DIY SRI twice.
Beat Acura Integra Type R by a nose up to 110-115.

you can always tell a real integra r by the 5 lug wheels, unless there was a conversion.

( besides being yellow and with a wing )

I agree, are you sure that was a real ITR? Those things pull harder than most people think. My Talon was even with KrNxRaCeR00's type-R up until he hit vtec in third gear. After that he walked away easily. Which is why I'm not sure about your 325 pulling on one. I'm not saying that it didn't happen, I just find it a little hard to believe. (based on past experience )

Those things are quick, especially from a roll.

ford cougar type R? lol

im gonna assume you meant mercury cougar, but type R... wow ford doesnt (or mercury whatever) have any "type R" vehicles. but while on the topic of mercury cougars, ive always wondered why they made the newer mercury cougars into woman cars with a puny v6. back in the day they were legit muscle cars. i think they should bring that image back to the cougar. put a 4.6 in it. or maybe even a 5.4. and make it look like a frickin muscle car.

Re: Two runs with THE Type R, and a run with A Type R

Speedthrill-I dunno if I'm gonna SC or not. I really want to, but considering I'll be getting another car in about a year, I can't really justify blowing between 5k and 6k for a few months. I think I might get the Conforti or RMS software for my car, then stop at that. Also, I've been getting alot of races becuase now that I'm back home, I know when and where to be to get races. Tonight was a slow night, raced and whuped up on a four door hyundi with five poeple in it. They are like me though, they dont care if they win or loose, or who they race, I think they just wanted to race.

I'm not positive now after reading all this that if it was a Type R Teg or not, I mean, it was yellow, had the wing, and all the badges in the right place. Maybe it was a very nicely done GS-R cover up or somthing, maybe he had a ton of stuff in his car, I dunno. The only thing I'm sure of is that when we let off, I had just about a nose on him.

And everyone talking about Type R stickers, my buddy put the Type R stickers on his Lexus ES300 (pre current moddle) as a joke. Make fun of ricers and all. He also has NOS stickers.

Re: Two runs with THE Type R, and a run with A Type R

A good way to spot a phony Type-R is the sunroof, the 5-lugs, and the valve cover.
