my camaro vs 99 ls1

so i lined them up with a track car today, he just got back from running a 1/4 mile, he got timed at a consistent 13.45, well say 13.5 i raced him tonight, i got a real bad reaction time, due to him doing something ive never seen done before, which is trying to create a trans brake with a foot and gas technique, and he started going broadside, nunetheless, hes got nitto 555r drag radials and still grabbed without a hitch. i lost, which i expected, by about 4 cars, even with the bad launch. i figured ill put it here rather than the street racing forum, cuz of the fact there was 2 camaros involved. it was my first v8 race and my first loss, since the new motor, but at least it was to my buddy, and to a camaro.

its not that dissapointing, the motor isnt internally built, its alot of boltons, he just dug off the line, and put 4 cars, no more no less, i couldnt get them back. just one race, quick and simple, hes a buddy of mine, we just did it on the way over my other buddys house. so if i dug harder, and mashed pedal off the line, im hopefully looking at 13.9 or 13.8. i gotta get to the track tho
