Question 2004 Dash board

Anyone having problems with their 2004 Corolla dashboard squeaking and/or alignment?

My first summer with my brand new car - I park outside and the sun beats on it all day long. When things heat up they expand. My driver side door (the side which fits to the side of the driver side dashboard) - were touching because the dashboard was not properly aligned. That fine day when I came - and opened the door - it peeled the paint from the side of the dashboard (got stuck on the door).

Took it to the dealer and long story short they said the alignment was not correct - so they took my dashboard apart and aligned it - but when I drive the dashboard squeaks (intermittently). Took it back and they blamed the screw being loose etc.

I still had the problem and dropped it off again - this time they gave me a rental (2005 Corolla - and I noticed the same squeaking). Its as if the vinly parts are touching each other depending on the road condition.

Just wondering if anyone has noticed this? All 2004 Corolla owners - I would suggest turning down the stereo and listening carefully when you drive and see if you hear any squeaking noises from the front dash (especially the front corners) and where the dash board meets the wind shield (bottom of the wind shield). Please let me know via private message or reply on this message board. Thanks.
