Question 2000 Dodge intrepind engine ?

Hey the 2.7 engine in my 2000 dodge intrepid blew...what a big surprise crap engines anyway. But back to the point i was wondering would a 2004 Sebring Stratus 2.7 engine fit? and if so what modifications are needed?
Thanks ya'll
Joe

Have you thought of converting it to a 3.2 instead of a 2.7?It is real easy and the 3.2 does fit in with no problems. The 3.2 is the better engine with more power and lasts longer

It is real easy, like I mentioned the 3.2 fits in with no problems.I done one so far,my father bought a 1999 Chrysler Concorde with a blown up 2.7 and was converted to a 3.2 and ran a whole lot better. My father bought a wrecked Dodge intrepid with a 3.2 in it as the donor car from an auto salvage auction.Call any auto salvage yards if they have a wrecked 1998 and up Dodge Intrepid with a 3.2 that is going to be parted out.Make sure nothing is cut,you need these parts. These are the part you need also: A/C lines, the front exhaust pipes(longer),throttle cable(it is also longer),one of the heater hoses(one is longer),the radatior and A/C condenser if they are any good. The 3.2 has oil lines going to the oil pan,the power steering pump and the computer just in case if the 2.7 computer does not work with the 3.2.Tell the auto salvage yard you are converting a 2000 Dodge Intrepid with a 2.7 to a 3.2 and they will know.
