Ford Probe Eyelid Headlights Problem

hello everyone, i just got an 89 ford probe GT Turbo and it has a problem i was wondering if anyone could help me remedy. When i first got it when a charger was hooked to the battery both the eyelids opened and closed repeatedly, after playing with it for a bit, i flicked the radio on and off and the left headlight stopped opening when it wasn't supposed to and works perfectly now (i dont know either lol) but the right keeps opening and closing, i was wondering if anyone could hint to anything that could be the cause and a possible remedy?
