seatbelt indicator
Whats up guys?
I have a 93 max that I purchased in 2000. Last fall I noticed that when I am driving the car, the seatbelt light on the dash lights and the bell dings for a few seconds, just as it would if I had just started the car. After a few minutes the indicator will go out and may come back on later with the bell dinger. I have no other electrical problems with the car and the car runs good otherwise. Is there some type seatbelt sensor that feeds the computer that may be faulty, or may I some problem with a bad wire or connection. Does anyone have any info on how this system works, or maybe a schematic of this portion of the electrical system. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Jeff |

Re: seatbelt indicator
Quote:
Seat switch or wirings... Look under the seat: few connectors hanging, depending on configuration. Disconnect one after another until u find the right one. PS. If u have airbag, dont touch the yel wires. Open the batt negative ½ hour before if u have to disconnect any yel (=airbag) wires. For schemas try www.carfiche.com or www.autozone.com . If the wires are disconnected, airbag light will come on and stay, until it has been reset (=½hour batt disconnection is reset to all maxima computers)
