Park Ave. radios

I have a '95 and a '96 Park Ave. Both have the same problem with the factory radio/tape/CD player. If you're listening to the radio,at random intervals,the radio will cycle to the tape mode,click for awhile,the come up with an "E 11" message and then go back to the radio. Keeps doing this until you go crazy(or crazier!) and turn off thr radio! No rhyme or reason to when it happens and it does this all the time(both cars). Easy fix or can anyone recommend a good after-market rario?

I repaired my 95 PA radio two years ago( replaced cassette unit ) , but after the cd unit went, I found I could get a whole refurbished radio for the same price ( $199 ).
