Cruise control & question for nisco

My cruise won't work! I think its a fuse, but I can't figure out where or which one. Nothing works when I press the button...and once again my tib is an '00. I'm starting to think more and more that since I bought my tib at a used car lot...it is trash. Why? Because the paperwork I looked at and everything else I looked at made the car look nice. I should've taken it to a Hyundai dealer and had them over look everything and bring a list of things wrong with it and had the used car lot fix them all!

My next question is....nisco....where the hell did you get that firewater pic/movie thing at? What was the name of the website? Thats pretty wicked...coughing fire. That sure did burn no doubt!

Re: Cruise control & question for nisco

when you push in the switch does the light run on?

have you tried setting the cruise control with the switch pusehd in? maybe the bulb is just burned out.

also, what kind of tailights do you have(might sound weird, but just answer it).

No light comes on, when you press the button, it is supposed to set the cruise and then i have a switch that you hold in...like push it towards the steering wheel for resume/accel....but no light comes on. the tailights i have are factory...i had the actual bulbs replaced by a shop one time b/c i didnt know how to install them. why do you ask?

Re: Cruise control & question for nisco

well first off, try setting the cruise even though the light on the switch doesnt come on. might just be a burnt out bulb.

if the shop used led bulbs in your tails, then the cruise woulfd not work.

Ok, quick question for you? If I am not mistaking, werent you the one that posted a Thread dealing with your stereo wiring harness? It could be totally unrelevant, but maybe it could be something along the wiring from your radio harness to where your problem is now. I think I mentioned in that last thread that I did the same thing and had to correct a few things that my cut harness jacked up, course it wasnt my CC, but my lighting system.

I'm just makin a suggestion or where to look, but if I am way out in left field on this one, then my bad.

Nah...its cool man. I'll check, but I'm pretty sure that my cruise control wasn't working even before I put in my new cd player and cutting off my harness.

tibby01> I'll have to ask the guys who put in my tailights. I'm pretty sure they're just plain ole bulbs...but it wont hurt to ask. I'll report back w/ my findings.

*EDIT* I've tried setting the cruise - I held the button in and nothing happens. The button is what is used to turn it off or on, and then there is the switch that you hold in for the resume accel. the resume excel wont even acknowledge...so i dont think it is a burnt out bulb. i will check the tail lights and check back in.

Ok, i re read your description and its kinda confusing. Just for clarification, if I am not mistaking, you should have a panel switch on the dash just the the upper left side of the A/C controls. (The one that works your Rear Windshield wiper.) I think its the lower button on there that is kinda like the CC power button. Is this one of the buttons you had on? Cuz from what I took out of reading, you are only pressing in the side and end button for CC Set and ACC.

*sigh* I'm such a dumbass! The whole time I'm making a fuss about nothing, and forgot that the button you're describing was there! Can't believe that all I was doing wrong was not pushing that button.....I'm sorry guys!

Its all good dude. It took me about a week to figure out how to use my CC. No question is a stupid question as long as you get the answer you need.
