Re: 3rd gen owners look at this!!

Hypsi is a Turbo man, he respects but aint too big on the chargers although I think Vortech makes one hell of a system and when combined with some other inductions mods would make one hell of a bad ass ride.

Formula, wouls you have to rebuild the engine inorder to handle the pressure? Or could you just bolt it on?

Re: 3rd gen owners look at this!!

Only if it was real high mileage engine or on its last leg. 8 PSi is not a super amount of boost and the compression ratio of the TPI's is low enough to handle that safely

What has he done to it? Do you have any pics? Get him to get that charger and throw it on there so we can see the results 1st hand.

Re: 3rd gen owners look at this!!

hes just having some work done, he has an 86 with the 305 tpi, had that completely rebuilt along with the transmission. He had the interior completely redone in gray leather (was cloth), and its currently being sanded down to bare metal so it can be painted and re-decaled to look like brand new. I'll work to get some pics, but i dont see him too often, so its not likely i will get them anytime soon, but he said the paintjob is costing him 3900.. he said hes getting like 8 coats of clear so that baby shines like glass. lol

Re: 3rd gen owners look at this!!

I hate to rain on your parade here, but you guys do know that that is the price for the kit "WITHOUT" the actual supercharger, which you would have to buy seperate

form site:

"Includes everything you need minus the Vortech supercharger and the electronics"

if you want the full kit you will be spending close to 4 grand
