Re: Programming Connector?
in your trunk, driver side, hidden behind the carpet, on the driver side wall, you will find a black connector that is plugged into nothing (it comes off a harness you will easily see). it has two holes in it; that is your connector. take a small wire and connect the two holes to do your magic. you will hear the doors lock and unlock when you have a sound connection.
at least this is where it is on my 98 sunfire. good luck |

Re: Programming Connector?
All Remote Keyless Entry Modules may be programmed to receive four different
transmitters which all may be used to operate the remote control lock system on the vehicle. Also, severalvehicles, each with the same system may all be programmed to operate from the same transmitter or four different transmitters. Step 1. Turn ignition off Step 2. Ground the program pin.(within one second, Lock, Unlock and Trunk will cycle to indicate module ready for programming.)**the program pin is the two wire connector plugged into the RKE reciever in the trunk of the vehicle at the Left Wheelhouse. Leave the main harness plugged in but unhook the two wire connector and ground the pins.** Step 3. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons until: Lock, Unlock, Trunk, and Horn cycles to indicate the transmitter has successfully been programmed. (This takes no more then 12 seconds) Step 4. Repeat step 3 for the remaining number of transmitters Step 5. Remove the ground from the program pin. Step 6. Verify proper operation of the transmitters.

Re: Programming Connector?
thanks so much. i did exactly what you descibed and still no success. when i push the lock/unlock button (on either of my two remotes; both with new batteries), i get no response. where is the receiver in my car that accepts the signal from the remote....I believe that is the problem. do these break? where do i get a new one without spending a fortune? would you agree? any suggestions??? thanks so much. look forward to hearing back from you.

Re: Programming Connector?
Are you sure you have the correct remotes for your Sunfire? What year is it?
