Starting problem on Rainy days
OK, this is going to sound goofy but my 98 Astro has had it's share of problems. Had trouble starting and replaced fuel pump. That worked fine but then when it rains, the van wouldn't start. Thought it to be the fuel pump but it "whirred" just fine. Driver side window will not operate and is stuck down about 2" which I can live with until I can afford to have someone replace the window motors. (tried to get one from a boneyard and realized that is a project out of my league with this vehicle).
Anyhow, my wife is driving van and started putting a towel over the steering wheel when it looked like rain. Van has started every time since she started doing that. The only thing I can think is it might be connected with the security sensor and if that gets wet it won't allow fuel to start vehicle. Anyone with comments I would love to hear them Thanks
