2001 with even more issues

Now not only doe sit not run correctly, it does not even start. I have a feeling it is the starter ( or the engine seized) but have not a clue. All the lights stay onand when you try to crank it the only indication that anything is happening is that the radio dims, Does anyone have any suggestions?/ Thanks.

Hello

I'm not sure, but check your battery, your spark plugs to see if there oil fouled and your starter, other that that i mean it could turn into a 100 things. Id have to hear it and look at it. Sorry man

You can always turn the engine over manually with an 18mm socket on the crankshaft bolt to see if it seized or not. Some engines (don't know if Neons are subject to this) can have a worn starter jam it's teeth on the flywheel freezing up the starter and turning over the engine manually will pop it free. Before doing this, make sure that your timing belt hasn't broken or jumped or you will bend valves on the pistons!

What makes you think that the engine may have seized?

Thanks to everyone that helped.. It seems that there is a short somewhere, which blew a fuse and the car would not start. Initially i believed it may have seized the engine because she( the driver) had not put water in the engine for over a year ( we live in AZ) and what she explained that happend is why i thought it may have seized. now to work on the short.. Thanks!!
