exterior paint

So I was looking for some touch up paint to fix a couple spots on my car. I talked to one of the guys there and he said I needed to find my code and that it was on the door, and that it might also be in the engine bay somewhere??? So I went out and looked and I dont see the code anywhere.

Where is the code if any of you know?

Probably talking about your VIN# that usually tells what original color it is, aside from any other codes, I know that theres like a sticker on the driver side door but never really paid attention to it really.

Re: exterior paint

Those codes are on a sticker inside the console

will either be a U or WA prefix

Re: exterior paint

VIN number won't tell you anything about paint... the label is normally on the door... on the part that you cannot see when it's closed. it has a paint code on it. maybe console too, but i've never seen them on the console.
