The VR-4

So, My friend let's me drive his Mitsu Galant VR-4 on the way home from another friends house where we hung out tonight. I just like cruising along and dipping into the boost in first gear, and he doesn't mind so long as I don't screw anything up. On the way home though I caught the eye of an old Pontiac Sunfire convertible...the ugly ones that you only see every once in a while, but have tarp and trashbags on them to keep the water out. This one at least looked good of the little i saw of him. Coming out of the right turn onto the loop i stuck around in first gear and then put a little boost in it not realizing this guy wanted to play. I shift out of first and he's passin' me and slowing down like he wants to go, so i go for it. I pulled through second gear all the way up to him making sure i was next to him to shift into third and let him know whats on the line. We play around passing each other until we come into some traffic and he ducks in behind me and turns right at the next light. Rarely do i get that kind of attention in the Eclipse. Sleepers Rock.

Re: The VR-4

The more recent models are better looking, IMO. Still, sounds like fun, wish I had a turbo...or a ton of NA power...or lots of power in general.

Re: The VR-4

Those are nice cars, hard to find too (VR-4 is anyway). I'd love to own one someday.

Add another to the list

Nice race though. How do those Galant vr4s perform...I actually know absolutely nothing about them.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: The VR-4

If I remember correctly, they had the same motor as the DSM's (4G63 or whatever). I'm probably wrong, but I think I heard that somewhere . I do believe they were also AWD. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
